To tweet or not to tweet

As with a few of the other's blogging about Twitter, I'm finding this a pointless venture on a personal level. And I have a great sanity-inducing philosophy of remaining blissfully unaware of unnecessary information. Twitter attacks that philosophy with a vengeance, and in the long run, I really don't care! I don't want to know what people are doing every minute of every day. I have enough trouble keeping track of myself. Countering that, however, I do see in this a great tool to communicate daily events, programs, new materials and endless other happenings at the library to the masses who do find twitter enthralling......and I am wise enough to know, that even if this particular medium isn't my cup of tea, it IS for a vast number of others. Now, not to be accused of negating something out of hand, I do intend to 'play' with this a little more, and I will be big enough to admit it if eventually I find myself drawn in. Time will tell.
